Write what you know…
That’s what they say. We’ve all heard that before, right?
Well here, in this, my little corner of the internet, I’m instead going to write about the things I’m trying to figure out instead.
Here, I’m taking a closer look at the things I’m interested in, and the things I’m working through.
Here, I’m going to share my perspective, and opinions, and current understandings. I’m going to try and be as accurate as possible, but to be honest I’m winging it… writing from the heart. And that’s never a sure bet.
It may sometimes sound like advice, and it is… kind of. But it’s really meant to be my advice for myself. Reinforcing the things I want to be doing and prioritizing and knowing. It’s the stuff I need to get out of my head and into the world so that I can better understand my true north. Sometimes I’ll have the opportunity to share the stories of other people, people whose ideas and approaches to life inspire and challenge me. By all means take what you can, but don’t ever think that I’ve got it all figured out.
I don’t.My plan is to write about:
- creativity and how to build a life fueled by passion
- yoga and how to stay balanced in the uneven landscape of life
- work and how to find work and do work that fills us up
- travel and how amazing the world is
- life and how to really, truly enjoy it

Meet Kristy Guthrie-Roth
She’s fun & sunny. She’s light and easy. She cares.
She loves messy hair and casual clothes. She’s colourful and owns mala beads fit for every occasion and outfit.
She doesn’t sweat the small stuff. In fact, she hates stuff and loves sweating.
She loves being in water. And drinking coffee. And sitting in a pool of sunshine.
She eats vegetables. Lots of them. She loves eating anything handmade. She’s learning to eat more whole foods in order to feel, well, more whole. Despite her best efforts to eat vegan she still loves chocolate, Southern Food and baked goods.
She takes a secret mix of vitamins every day and swears it’s making a difference.
She wants to make a difference.
She loves loving. She loves learning. She’s not an expert in anything but she tries. She tries really hard every day to make the most out of her days. To make people feel valued and important. To be present.
She’s trying to live with intention and grace (though she’s not really that graceful). She finds the bright side in every situation. She loves the bright side.
She moves every day. She loves everyday. She laughs everyday. She lives everyday.
She’s not perfect, but she’s here.
